In vocabulary teaching, it is an issue for teachers of English to think about and tackle how to help students enhance their efficiency in vocabulary learning by developing and fostering their independent thinking. Through the examples taken from “2BM3U3 Clothes”, Oxford English, this paper has combined the traditional teaching methods of vocabulary like induction, association, deduction and application with the six levels of independent thinking and put forward the following effective vocabulary teaching strategies, including “situation creation and overall designing”, “inputs priority and application strengthening” and “proper challenges for inspiring thinking” . |
