      Due to the requirements of the new curriculum standards of English reading and the learning requirements of junior middle school students, English newspapers have become a main supplementary reading material for teaching reading because of their unique advantages. Therefore, teachers of English should actively practiced personalized and immersion teaching in English newspaper reading teaching and promote the overall development of Project Iread in order to explore effective ways to help students cultivate independent extracurricular reading habits and core competence.
