Abstract:
In recent years, iron-based magnetic resonance contrast agents have received widespread attention in the medical imaging field due to their excellent magnetic properties and good biocompatibility. By modifying iron-based contrast agents with ligands, specific targeting functions can be endowed, significantly enhancing the imaging precision for specific or diseased tissues. The improvement in targeting capability not only optimizes imaging quality, but also enhances the early detection and accurate diagnosis of lesions. Combined with multimodal imaging techniques, iron-based contrast agents can complement imaging methods such as computed tomograph(CT) and positron emission tomography(PET), providing more comprehensive and precise pathological information and a richer basis for clinical diagnosis. Additionally, image-guided therapy, as a cutting-edge technology, further improves the precision and effectiveness of treatment through real-time monitoring and feedback. This review will summarize the latest research progress of iron-based contrast agents, explore their application prospects in targeted imaging, multimodal fusion, and image-guided therapy, and give a prospect for future development directions.
