| We found a lepidopteran pest that harmed the shoot of broad bean when conducted a field survey diseases and pests on faba bean in Huating Town, Jiading District, Shanghai at the end of year 2021. It was identified as a new record species of Shanghai： Matsumuraeses phaseoli （Matsumura）. The following is a brief description of the pest characteristics, morphological characteristics and living habits. |
