Abstract:
Our purpose is to modify the anode according to the different requirements, the electrode structure can be modified to endue electrochemical method other supporting functions for more application. Our research aims to degrade phenol in the wastewater by a high efficient electrochemical method. In this paper,Mn and Sb doped Ti-based SnO2 (Ti/MnO2/SnO2-Sb) electrode was prepared. Its degradation ability towards organic pollutants was improved and its life time was prolonged via optimizing the electrode preparation process. The as-prepared Ti/MnO2/SnO2-Sb anode was characterized and analyzed using SEM,XRD,cyclic voltammetry, and enhanced life test. The factors affecting the degradation of organic compounds were systematically studied. The results show that the activity and stability of the doped DSA electrode are greatly improved, compared to those of the unmodified electrode. The oxygen evolution potential of the doped DSA electrode was up to 2.3 V and its accelerated life was up to 42 h.For the treatment of wastewater containing 100 mg/L phenol under the optimal conditions, the removal rate reached 89.26% after 8 h.
