Abstract:
Fretted string instruments play out of tune; luthiers1 and technicians generally adjust or design the instruments to be in tune when played open and at the 12th fret. The purpose of this research is to develop a model to predict the produced fundamental frequencies and investigate both analog and electronic correction methods.
