      As being engaged in the field of environmental ethics, virtue ethics is subjected to the accusation with “environmental ethics characteristics”, that is, it involves or leads to dangerous anthropocentrism. However, “anthropocentrism” can refer to significantly different ideas and claims. Dealing with environmental issues from the perspective of virtue ethics embodies a reasonable and necessary kind of “anthropocentrism”, which is not only able to arouse public concern for environment, but also leads people to go beyond the irrational anthropocentric claims.
