      Why do the cities and towns of Suzhou and Songjiang prefectures contribute a lot to the birth, rise and spread of Kun Opera? The reasons lie in: firstly, the towns are scattered all over Suzhou and Songjiang prefectures and they are economically prosperous, which provides abundant material conditions for the formation and development of Kun Opera. Secondly, people consciously pursue artistic life which helps Kun Opera win a large number of loyal audience and performers who are willing to participate in this industry. Thirdly, the relatively advanced concepts make the thoughts in Kun Opera possess the significance of leading the times. Fourthly, the developed education cultivates numerous playwrights and musicians for Kun Opera. Fifthly, the creative attitude of striving for perfection creates a large number of Kun Opera masterpieces. Sixthly, unimpeded waterway brings Kun Opera to all over the country.
