      建国初期社会主义中国就明确提出了奋斗幸福论。1954年，中国青年出版社主办“什么是青年的幸福？”座谈会，初步塑造了社会主义幸福观的雏形。人们普遍认为，幸福是有阶级差异的，劳动创造是幸福的源泉，劳动是集体劳动。劳动展开的形式，主要有艰苦奋斗、斗争、奉献等，它们都能够带来幸福。1963—1964年，《南方日报》开展了“怎样生活才是幸福”的大讨论，幸福与享受的关系、劳动幸福论、幸福感觉论以及精神幸福和物质幸福的关系等问题得到了深入阐释。这一大讨论得出结论：无产阶级既是集体幸福和个人幸福统一论者，又是集体幸福第一论者；无产阶级既是精神生活和物质生活统一论者，又是精神生活第一论者。人生的最大幸福就在于为实现共产主义理想而劳动、斗争。这样的幸福观在20世纪80年代继续得到了贯彻、延续和强调。20世纪末21世纪初，引起全社会关注的热播电视剧《贫嘴张大民的幸福生活》又以生动的形象展示了新世纪的幸福观，从中仍可窥见建国初期幸福观的痕迹，主要体现为劳动是幸福的基础，并突出了精神幸福的重要性。2018年新春，习近平总书记重申“奋斗本身就是一种幸福”，继承和发展了社会主义幸福论传统。

      At the beginning period of the People’s Republic of China, our socialist countries clearly put forward the theory of struggling for happiness. In 1954, the forum of “What is the happiness of youth?” sponsored by the editorial department of China Youth Publishing House initially shaped the embryonic form of socialist viewpoints on happiness. It is generally believed that happiness is divided by class. Labor creation is the source of happiness, and labor is collective labor. The form of labor development mainly consists of hard work, struggle, dedication, etc., and they can bring happiness. From 1963 to 1964, Nanfang Daily launched a big discussion on the question that what kind of life is happy. The relationship between happiness and enjoyment, the theory of labor happiness, the theory of feeling happiness, and the relationship between spiritual happiness and material happiness have been deeply discussed. The conclusion is that the proletariat is the unity of collective happiness and personal happiness advocating collective happiness is the first; the proletariat is the unity of spiritual life and material life advocating spiritual life is the first. The greatest happiness in life lies in labor and struggle for the realization of communist ideals. This idea of happiness continued to be implemented, extended and emphasized in the 1980s. At the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, the hot TV series “The Happy Life of Zhang Damin”, which attracted the attention of the whole society, showed the happiness idea of the new century in a vivid image. It can be found the traces of happiness in the early days of the People’s Republic of China that labor is the foundation of happiness and highlights the importance of spiritual happiness. In the spring of 2018, President Xi Jinping reiterated that “struggle is a kind of happiness” and socialist viewpoints on happiness are further developed.
