      “转折”与“让步”是语言学界两大常见术语，这两个概念的关系与区别在英汉两学界中存在争议，学界缺乏系统梳理。鉴于此，文章将这两个概念的范围与关系进行梳理，通过转换法证明了“转折”的概念范围大于“让步”的概念范围，并从语用、认知与句法属性上归纳了典型转折与典型让步复句的差异。

      Adversativity and concession are two common terms in linguistics but there are arguments about the relationship and the differences between them. The paper endeavors to conduct a systematic study on their different concept scopes and their relationship and the conversion method is used to prove that the concept of adversativity is larger than that of concession. Furthermore, the paper discusses the differences between typical concessive sentences and adversative sentences in terms of the pragmatics, the cognition and the syntactic type.
