      任何国家的民主制度都需要建立在一定的文化积淀、文化发展的基础上，然而，中国文化中不少民主的基因过去大多隐藏于古代先哲的典籍中，没有转换为现实的制度。中国共产党是中华优秀传统文化的忠实传承者和弘扬者，也是中国特色社会主义民主政治的建设者。中国的社会主义民主政治之所以具有鲜明的中国特色，其中一个原因是中国共产党在民主制度与民主实践的探索上，注重发掘与吸收以民为本、为民作主等中国传统文化思想中的民主性因素，尊重与践行务实、尚和、中庸等为中华民族所公认的合宜的价值观与行为准则，为建设基于中国文化的中国式民主作出了重要贡献。

英文摘要:

      Democratic system in any country should be established on the accumulation and development of culture, however, many democratic genes in Chinese culture hidden in the classics of the ancient philosophers had not been converted into certain systems. The Communist Party of China is a faithful successor and promoter of excellent Chinese traditional culture and a builder of democratic politics with Chinese characteristics. One of the reasons is that, in exploring democratic system and practicing democracy, CPC pays attention to explore and absorb democratic factors in such Chinese traditional ideas as “people-oriented” and “for the people”, respect and practice values and codes of conduct recognized by the Chinese nation, such as being pragmatic, valuing the harmony and worshipping the mean, and thus make great contributions to the construction of democracy of Chinese style based on Chinese culture.
