接合转座子Tn916的水平基因转移

摘要:
水平基因转移(HGT)极大地提高了细菌物种对环境的适应性,促进了细菌的进化.原核生物通过水平基因转移获得的基因片段为基因岛(GEIs).接合转座子(CTns)则是一种常见的可移动基因岛,通过接合进行水平基因转移,并主要传播抗生素抗性.该文介绍与讨论了一种发现较早,且被广泛研究的接合转座子Tn916的重组、接合转移和调控模块,阐述了这类接合转座子的一般结构、转移机制和影响.

Abstract:
Horizontal gene transfer (HGT) greatly improves the adaptability of bacteria to the environment, and promotes the evolution of bacteria. Genomic islands (GEIs) are the gene fragments obtained by HGT in prokaryotes. Conjugative transposons (CTns) is a kinds of common mobile GEIs which transfer themselves by conjugation to a recipient, and mainly spread antibiotic resistance intercellularly. This review introduced and discussed the recombination, conjugative transfer and regulatory module of Tn916, a CTn which is most widely discovered and originally discovered, and the general structure, transfer mechanism and influence of this type of conjugative transposon were also explained.
